Dr. Hermann Brandt

Dr. Hermann Brandt was his whole life interest in sports, all sorts of sports and he played tennis until a very high age. He lived and practiced in Geneva, at Rond-Point de Plainpalais 5. As medical doctor he noticed that many injuries in sports resulted from direct contact between two athletes. In the 1960s he started to develop new ideas for a contact less sport – Tchoukball. Unfortunately he passed away 1972 and so did not see the development our sport has had since its creation. It was Michel Favre, young friend of his, who continued the work he had started.
