Bout du Monde

The centre sportif du Bout du Monde, Geneva, was the location of the very first international game of Tchoukball, which took place on October 31st 1971. The participating teams were Switzerland and France and the game was played “bipolar” with 2 frames. The France won this very first game 53 – 49. The referee in the picture is Michel Favre.

In 2000 the world tchoukball championships took place in Geneva and where also played at the Bout du Monde, time the picture to the right was taken.

The centre sportif du Bout du Monde is only a 15 minutes bus ride from the main sports centre of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors, Queue d’Arve. Take bus number 11 direction “Bout du Monde” for a visit of this historic place of tchoukball.
