Do you measure the scale of the task accomplished?
I honestly don’t think so! Very few people can see it!
As Chairman of the Organising Committee, I have the task and responsibility of directing and coordinating the work of all the sectors involved in organising the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors, and I can assure you that each sector individually does a phenomenal job! And when you add up the impressive work of each sector and put it in relation to the very limited financial resources at our disposal, it’s easy to see that the mass of work accomplished for the whole event is quite simply gigantic, both staggering and fantastic!!!
We are well aware that not everything is perfect and that each sector can make improvements in the way it works, organises itself and moves forward. One of the strengths of the TGI is precisely the fundamental motivation we have to improve our organisation and the services we offer our many guests a little more each year. But I invite you to take a few moments to realise just how wonderful it is to see all the members of the TGI staff, from 10 to 85 years old, devoting themselves to their task, often without knowing or even seeing the scale of the task accomplished by so many others, but with the common objective of making this event a great success!
I would like to express once again a huge well done to all the members of our 24 sectors: Team Welcome, Photos, TV/Video Production, Match Commentary, TV/Video Broadcasting, Communication/Promotion, Internet and Social Networks, Sports Statistics, Refereeing, Technical Management of Tournaments, Coaches and Teams Management, Logistics, Security, Shop and Personalisation, Catering, Sustainable Development, HR/Volunteers, Administration/Accounting, Finance, Kids Day, VIP, Fan Zone, Entertainment/Show/Ceremony, Swiss Night.
Volunteers, parents, juniors, staff, trainees, committee members and service providers, you are all doing an exemplary job, and once again I would like to congratulate you and tell you how much I enjoy working with you.
Congratulations to you too, players, for your loyalty to our event, your sporting commitment on the pitch and your investment off it, so that the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors continues to be this great celebration of world tchoukball every year!
Make a note of the dates for the next edition of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors:
12 to 22 December 2024!
I look forward to seeing you all there for our 27th edition of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors!
All the best,
Daniel Buschbeck
