Rules
Men
For this 28th edition, 11 men’s nations are participating in the Nations Cup!
In order to balance the matches, the teams have been divided into two pots. Each team will play four matches according to the following principle:
2 matches against opponents from Pot 1
2 matches against opponents from Pot 2
At the end of qualification games, an overall ranking will be established.
Final phase:
The rest of the competition will take the form of a knockout stage:
Semi-finals for places 1 to 4
Semi-finals for places 5 to 8
Semi-finals for places 9 to 12
Please note:
The team finishing 5th in the Next Generation Boys tournament will be included in the knockout stage for places 9 to 12.
Women
For this 28th edition, 13 women’s nations are participating in the Nations Cup!
In order to balance the matches, the teams have been divided into two pots. Each team will play four matches according to the following principle:

Next Generation Boys
For this 28th edition, 13 women’s nations are participating in the Nations Cup!
At the end of these games, an overall ranking will be established.
Final phase:
The rest of the competition will take the form of a knockout stage:
Semi-finals for places 1 to 4
Please note:
The team finishing 5th in the Next Generation Boys tournament will be included in the Nations Cup Men knockout stage for places 9 to 12.
Next Generation Girls
This year, 6 nations are participating in the Next Generation Girls !
At the end of these games, an overall ranking will be established.
Final phase:
The rest of the competition will take the form of a knockout stage:
Semi-finals for places 1 to 4
Ranking games for places 5 to 7
Please note:
The team finishing 13th in the Women Nations Cup will be included in the Next Generation Girls knockout stage for places 5 to 7.
Rules
TGI Ranking
The TGI ranking is based on the results obtained by teams in the last four editions of the Nations Cup.
Points allocation
- The team ranked 1st receives 100 points.
- The team ranked last receives 20 points.
- The teams in between receive a number of points proportional to their position in the ranking.
- A team that does not participate in an edition receives 0 points for that year.
Specificity for 2025
For the 2025 edition, only the results from 2022, 2023 and 2024 are included in the calculation.
